Triumph Stag #1164
Introduced in 1970 the Stag was conceived as a convertible Triumph 2000 but gained its own identity before production started. With several innovative ideas, e.g. aluminium cylinder heads, it was ahead of its time, but became a liability as the correct maintenance was not carried out. Over time these design faults were rectified, making a stylish GT convertible.
Our example benefits from being the last year of production, 1977, with service history. In classic saffron yellow and black interior, and proper chrome bumpers. Its 3 litre V8 pulls well and is ideally mated to an auto gearbox for lazy Sunday drives. It also comes with a rare factory removable targa top, just right for the colder months.
